1. 表示“发生”“出现”,是不及物动词,所以不能带宾语,不用于被动语态。 如:

2. 表示某想法、观念出现在某人脑海中或被某人想到,通常与介词 to连用。常用结构:

3).take place phr. v. 发生,举行

主要用于事先计划好的事情。表示“举行”的意思,带有非偶然性。

Great changes have taken place in China.

中国发生了翻天覆地的变化。


The parade will take place on Sunday, rain or shine .
